Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of studying disorders in the physical and functional condition of children of middle school age with complex developmental disorders. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the features of physical and functional condition of children with complex developmental disorders compared to healthy peers. To achieve this goal, the methods of the theoretical level of research were used (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction), as well as the empirical level of research (anthropometric and medical-biological), methods of mathematical statistics. The study involved 110 children of middle school age with complex developmental disorders (intellectual and hearing impairments) and 146 healthy peers. Analysis of physical development indicators in girls and boys of middle school age also showed significant differences between children with complex developmental disorders and their peers who did not have complex developmental disorders. In terms of body length, it was not possible to record statistically significant differences between boys and girls with complex developmental disorders (p˃0.05) compared to their peers who did not have them, but the latter significantly prevailed in body weight and chest circumference at all ages. (p <0.05). The results of the study in girls and boys of middle school age indicate low functionality of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, as well as strength abilities. Low values of the Stange, Genchi and Skibinsky indices once again emphasize the low endurance of the respiratory system. The presence of the obtained statistical differences may be due not only to the underlying disease, but also a set of comorbidities of somatic systems, which requires the introduction of special differentiated means of physical culture and health programs to improve the physical and functional condition of children with complex developmental disorders.
