Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the psychological characteristics of representatives of youth subcultures in the context of the formation of microbiological awareness as a component of the modern culture of health. The relevance of the study is due to the growing role of informal youth associations in the processes of socialization, transmission of values and behavioral models, which simultaneously affect the issues of hygiene, prevention of infectious diseases, vaccination and antibiotic resistance. The work characterizes the psychological features of representatives of youth subcultures, in particular the need for identity, conformity to group norms, the significance of the referent environment and the symbolism of behavior, which includes the specifics of the perception of scientific information of microbiological content. It is shown that these factors influence the interpretation of knowledge through the prism of group values: information can be simplified and accepted, or rejected. The features of the cognitive sphere (level of critical thinking, familiarity with mythologizing, trust in alternative sources), emotional-value orientations and behavioral strategies that can both cause the formation of adequate microbiological literacy and hinder it due to the isolation of the group and the spread of pseudoscientific manifestations are analyzed. The methodological basis of the study is a theoretical analysis of scientific sources, comparative analysis, generalization of empirical data from modern psychological-pedagogical and medical- biological research, as well as elements of social-psychological modeling. The need to develop differentiated educational and educational strategies focused on the psychological characteristics of specific subcultural groups is substantiated. It is proven that the integration of the microbiological component into informal communication channels of young people (social networks, opinion leaders, cultural events) ensures the effectiveness of the formation of appropriate behavior in the field of public health.
