KLYMENYUK’S PYRAMID AS A UNIVERSAL METHODOLOGICAL TOOL FOR COGNITIVE STUDIES

The paper focuses on the analytical search for a productive methodological tool for conventional terminological unification of the concepts of cognitive knowledge as well as for the universal models that most fully interpret basic processes of an individual’s cognitive activity. As a result of the carried out analysis, the author substantiates the methodological potential of a universal cognitive model of the pyramid, widely known as the Klymenyuk’s pyramid, signifying the spheres of a person’s spiritual being. This model represents a frontal section of the pyramid built within the perpendicular coordinates, namely “faith – knowledge” and “opinions – facts”. The model shows that all the cognitive processes and acts receive their self-development in the individual’s spiritual sphere and are realized on the basis of various types of his/her thinking, whose results materialize in the person’s speaking-and-thinking and thinking-and-acting activities. The paper proves the universality of the Klymenyuk’s pyramid, ensured by the synthesis in its graphic image of present-day ideas of systemic and synergetic approaches as well as of linguistic, psychological, sociological and cybernetic knowledge. The author outlines the prospects of applying the considered model for studying the psycho-energetic processes of an individual’s speaking-and-thinking and thinking-and-acting activities as well as highlights a high possibility of expanding the circle of interdisciplinary research performed on the basis of the Klymenyuk’s pyramid as a universal conceptual model designated for a scientific consideration of any cognitive phenomena and acts that occur in the individual’s spiritual sphere.
