INTERDISCOURSE NATURE OF A LITERARY TEXT (ON THE MATERIAL OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE)

The article highlights the understanding of the category of interdiscourseness as a feature of the text, which characterizes its openness to the discourse meta-system. The authors define the grounds for the investigation of the interdiscourse nature of the German literary text. The actuality, purpose, tasks, object and material of research are formulated. The essence of the notions of discourseness and interdiscourseness along with their connection with the notion of intertextuality has been clarified. The markers for the actualization of the above-mentioned notions in the entire text have been determined. The institutional, theatrical, personal as well as the professional-business discourses have been characterized. The authors have demonstrated the interdiscourse nature of the literary text by putting the characters in various situations for the search of the optima decision. It has been verified that for bringing his idea to life the author uses different primary / secondary linguistic and non-linguistic means along with the bulk of stylistic figures and tropes. It has been investigated that the interdiscourse nature of the artistic work can be easily seen as “playing” with the different types of discourses results in switching the recipient from one mental sphere to another. This is possible under the condition of availability of the relevant background knowledge in the cognitive base of the author of the text and the recipient. Precedent phenomena are illustrative in this respect, as they are used by the author when depicting different situations where his characters act. The source of origin of the precedents are modern press, classical literature and historical references. It has been proved that the category of interdiscourseness demonstrates the connection of various texts (text blocks) by the defining feature of the same thematic and content origin; such a connection is the result of the discourse projection on the text dimension. A literary text as the environment of the interrelation of the different types of discourse is an interdiscourse itself, which results from the author’s vision of the literary text.
