ABOUT THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM «ECOSYSTEM OF TRADITIONAL CULTURE» (IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERETHNIC COMMUNICATIONS OF THE NATIONAL COMMUNITIES OF UKRAINE)

Abstract

Objective of the work: To define the term «ecosystem of traditional culture» in the context of interethnic communications and, consequently, interethnic relations of the national communities of Ukraine. Methodology: The theoretical and methodological foundation of the research is the ecosystem approach, combined with interdisciplinary, systemic, and comprehensive analysis. It allows characterize the ethnoecosystem of traditional culture in Ukraine as a phenomenon that has its regional peculiarities depending on historically conditioned processes of interethnic relations among the ethnic communities from different regions of Ukraine. Scientific novelty: For the first time, the definition of the term «ecosystem of traditional culture» was substantiated, and the ecosystem approach was applied to examine the peculiarities of the traditional culture existence in the context of interethnic communications between ethnic groups that create the diverse palette of national communities in various regions of Ukraine. Conclusions: The term «ecosystem / ethnoecosystem of traditional culture» is defined as a dynamic system, a geographically limited (by the settlement environment of a particular ethnic group or groups) complex of all socio-economical, cultural-historical, and cultural-valuable, socio-cultural-communicative, and ecological factors along with the people who are influenced by these factors, considering the impact of humans on the surrounding ethnic environment (ecological, socio-cultural, socio-economic, communicative, etc.). In the context of interethnic communications of the national communities that have inhabited Ukraine for centuries and are an integral part of its historical integrity, the ecosystem of traditional culture is visualized as a conglomerate of multivectored cultural creation and unity of cultural practices within the framework of diversity and multiculturalism that have developed in a different regions at the macro- and micro-levels of interethnic communication. The intangible and material cultural heritage of the Ukrainian ethnic groups is an interesting object for further detailed research in the context of the peculiarities and level of preservation of the ecosystem of multinational traditional culture during wartime in Ukraine, general trends of globalization of the world and Ukrainian cultural space, as well as the synergy of tradition and innovation.
