SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF SPECIALISTS IN THE SOCIAL SPHERE THROUGH THE PRISM OF DEONTOLOGY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the substantiation of the relevance of the problem of the development of social responsibility among specialists in the social sphere. In the process of research, the method of analyzing psychological and pedagogical sources from the researched problem, methods of comparison and generalization were used. A number of documents were analyzed («Ethics of social work: principles and standards», «Ethics of social work, declaration of principles», «Ethical code of specialists in social work of Ukraine»), which enshrine legal, moral and ethical norms that a specialist in the social sphere must adhere to in his work. Various definitions of the concept of «deontology», «deontology of social work», «responsibility» in regulatory and legal documents and works of researchers of the problem were studied; the understanding of «social responsibility» is revealed, which is manifested in the readiness and ability of a social worker to voluntarily strive for the realization of socially significant goals in the course of his professional activity. The main signs of the development of social responsibility among social workers are identified, namely: personal motivation to accept the duties assigned to the specialist; understanding of their content, the moral aspect of necessary actions; readiness to make independent decisions and perform actions in accordance with the situation; foreseeing the consequences and willingness to be responsible for the result of one's activity. It is emphasized that among the competencies that a social worker should possess for optimal intercultural, social, socio-political and interpersonal communications, the competency of responsibility is in the first place. The success of social work depends on the social orientation of the personnel, a high sense of responsibility among the specialists of the social sphere, and the affirmation of the principle of social justice in life. Social workers should direct all their knowledge, skills and abilities to help people who are in a difficult life situation.
