Abstract

The article emphasizes the need to prepare future practical psychologists for rehabilitation activities, the demand for which is increasing due to the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation. The authors conducted a thorough analysis of the educational and professional training programs for practical psychologists available in Ukraine at the first (bachelor) and second (master) levels of higher education, which made it possible to ascertain the lack of purposeful training of master’s degree applicants for rehabilitation activities at domestic higher education institutions. The analysis of domestic and foreign OPPs, the experience of the Department of Psychology and Social Work of the National University «Odesa Polytechnic», its staff, cooperation with the academic community and stakeholders – made it possible to determine a set of educational components, the study of which will ensure the formation of special competencies in the students, necessary for effective implementation such activity, and to develop the educational and professional program «Crisis and rehabilitation psychology» for applicants of the second (master’s) level of higher education. According to the authors and the support group, the developed program will allow the applicants to acquire in-depth professional knowledge, practical skills and abilities necessary for solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of rehabilitation and crisis psychology. The article details the content of the proposed OPP and characterizes the didactic capabilities of the department regarding the formation of general and special competencies and their corresponding learning outcomes in the pedagogical process. It is emphasized that the specified OPP is built in accordance with the Standard of higher education in the specialty 053 «Psychology» of the field of knowledge 05 «Social and behavioral sciences» for the second (master’s) level of higher education and meets the requirements of the credit-module system of the organization of the educational process in higher education institutions, recommended by the European Credit – transfer system (EKTS). The article also outlines the possible areas and institutions for employment of graduates of the presented program, as well as the positions they can hold. The authors hope that the graduates of the program will be competitive in the domestic and international labor markets and in great demand not only during the war, but also in the post-war period.
