FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL AND ETHICAL CULTURE OF FUTURE SOCIAL WORKERS

Abstract

In the article, the importance of developing the culture of professional ethics among future social workers is substantiated through theoretical analysis and a review of current training practices in the field. It is determined that educational components play a key role in fostering the professionalism of social workers. The article elaborates on the potential of the educational course "Ethics of Social Work" as an essential tool for cultivating the culture of professional ethics of future specialists. This course is shown to promote moral values, ethical principles, and competencies essential for effective and responsible practice in the social sector. Focus is directed toward the purpose of studying this course and the specific tasks designed to accomplish that purpose. The course is acknowledged to support the development of integral and professional competencies, as well as soft skills, such as communication abilities, teamwork, comprehensive problem-solving, client-centric approach, conflict prevention and resolution, and time management. The study examines the educational and professional program "Social Work (Social and Psychological Counseling)" at the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the specialty 231 Social Work within the field of knowledge 23 Social Work alongside the work program of the academic course "Ethics of Social Work". The content, forms, and methods of theoretical and practical training for future social workers are described. In the research process, methods such as the analysis of psychological and pedagogical sources, observation, and the analysis of the educational and professional program, curriculum, and educational and methodological support for the course were applied.
