Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of liability for corrupt acts in the social security system, taking into account international standards and guarantees. The work considers key aspects of legal regulation of the fight against corruption at the international level, including the principles enshrined in the conventions of the UN, the European Union and other international organizations.Also, the specifics of corruption offenses in the social security sector, their consequences for the state, society and individual citizens are studied. Particular attention is paid to the problems of implementing international norms into national legislation, as well as mechanisms for ensuring accountability and transparency in the activities of bodies responsible for social security. The article suggests ways to improve legal mechanisms for combating corruption in the social sector, in particular through strengthening international cooperation, introducing innovative technologies to prevent corruption, and increasing the level of legal awareness of the population.The purpose of the study is to determine the legal mechanisms and instruments of liability for corrupt acts in the social security system, taking into account international standards and guarantees, as well as developing recommendations for improving national legislation and practice in this area. Methodology. Through the use of methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization of regulatory legal acts and documents of international importance, it was established that an important task in preventing and combating corruption in Ukraine is to identify key problems and shortcomings of legal regulation and formulate proposals for their elimination, assess public opinion on the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures in the social security sector. To solve this task, systematic activity in a number of main areas is necessary. Results and practical significance. It was established that effective combating corruption in the social security system is possible provided that international standards and practices are implemented. The main gaps and shortcomings in national legislation that impede effective prevention and prosecution of corrupt acts have been identified. Recommendations have been developed to improve monitoring mechanisms, accountability and transparency in the social security sector.
