MOBILE SOCIAL WORK AS A MEANS OF COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Abstract

The article focuses on the study of mobile social work directions in Ukraine. The basis of the study is a qualitative analysis of existing mobile social work projects and programs implemented by state and non-state organizations with a social orientation. The results indicate that the priority directions for projects involving mobile teams are the provision of social services and support to the population, ensuring access to medical services, and creating conditions for the safe development of children. The creation of specialized mobile teams, which include specialists from various disciplines, tasked with providing comprehensive assistance in delivering social support to the population, achieves the implementation of mobile social work, resulting in community development. The research establishes that state social services are more focused on the implementation of mobile teams that provide social services to the population and implement such forms of mobile social work as conducting social raids to identify homeless children and children who are on the street; organizing mobile teams that work in the field of preventing domestic violence; organizing the work of mobile teams to provide social services at home and in kind. At the same time, the non-governmental sector and international organizations, strengthening work with vulnerable categories of the population and providing them with basic social services of assistance and care, are developing projects on the activities of mobile teams that work towards providing medical and social services in communities, as well as creating spaces for social animation with children. It was found that, with the beginning of the full-scale invasion, mobile social work has become one of the key forms of support for vulnerable groups of the population in communities located near the zone of hostilities, or those under occupation, where it is impossible to establish the work of stationary social services.
