Abstract

The relevance of the study is due to the increase in emotional stress in the field of social work and the spread of emotional burnout as a systemic professional problem, which directly affects the quality of social services and the stability of human resources. The purpose of the article is to scientifically understand the professional resilience of social workers as a key resource for the prevention of emotional burnout and to determine its structural components and mechanisms of formation at different stages of professional development. The methodological basis of the study is a complex theoretical and analytical approach that combines the analysis and synthesis of scientific sources, a comparative analysis of modern concepts of emotional burnout and professional resilience, as well as a structural and functional method for identifying interrelated components of resilience in the professional activities of social workers. As a result of the study, it was established that emotional burnout in social work has a multifactorial and dynamic nature, manifesting itself differently depending on the stage of professional development. It was found that professional resilience is not a fixed personality trait, but is formed as an integrated system of psychoemotional, cognitive-reflective, value-motivational, behavioral-resource and organizational-environmental components. It was shown that each of these components performs a specific preventive function, reducing the risk of chronic emotional exhaustion. It was substantiated that the dominance of individual stress coping strategies without proper organizational support is insufficient for longterm prevention of burnout. The feasibility of transitioning from reactive approaches to the systematic formation of professional resilience as a strategic resource of social work is proven. The practical significance of the results lies in the possibility of using the obtained conclusions for the development of programs for the prevention of emotional burnout, improving the system of supervision and professional support of social workers, as well as for increasing the efficiency of management decisions in the activities of social services.
