SOCIO-PEDAGOGICAL COMPONENT OF THE SOCIAL PROTECTION SYSTEM

Abstract

The article considers the socio-pedagogical component of social work as a priority vector of social policy of society, as a methodological basis for inter-organizational coordination of coordinated activities of all subjects of social work to help individuals (groups) in the social space. The aim of the article is to analyze the development of modern social work through its socio-pedagogical component, to clarify the essence of the socio-pedagogical approach to the system of social protection. The socio-pedagogical (functional) orientation of social work is revealed, which allows to work with representatives of socially stable and problematic social groups, and to implement educational and social policy of the state. Particular attention is paid to the fact that the socio-pedagogical model of social work is coordinated on the provision of assistance through integrated educational impact on the socialization of the individual or social group and implemented by social resources. It can be defined as a model of social work practice that focuses on helping an individual or social group in a difficult life situation through a system of social institutions. The publication highlights the focus of the socio-pedagogical component of modern social work to improve the quality of life and create conditions for full social functioning and development of society. The author emphasizes that the use of socio-pedagogical technologies contributes, on the one hand, to the professional development of service providers – professional social workers, on the other – equips them with new tools to influence clients. The urgent need for renewal and modernization of socio-pedagogical work in accordance with the transformation processes in Ukrainian society, on the basis of customer-centrism, environmental friendliness and spirituality is substantiated. The prospects of solving current social problems of society by means of socio-pedagogical activities are proved.
