THE ACTIVITY CHRONICLE OF ACADEMIC AND VARIETY VOCAL DEPARTMENT AT THE BORYS GRINCHENKO KYIV UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article is devoted to a multi-vector activity chronicle of Academic and Variety Vocal Department at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. The purpose of the study is to create the activity chronicle of Academic and Variety Vocal Department at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. Research methodology. A generalization method, as well as methods of analysis and synthesis are used in the article. An information processing from archival sources method is of a great importance for this study. Scientific novelty. The activity chronicle of Academic and Variety Vocal Department at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University is considered for the first time. Conclusions. An involvement of well-known Ukrainian and foreign performers in cooperation (holding master classes, creative meetings) encourages students to expand their creativity outside Ukraine. Cultural and art institutions of Ukraine, with which the department interacts, are the centers for the performance skills implementation of the singers. Powerful concert and performance activity of the Department (the participation of the students in various art competitions, projects and events) is aimed at the development and spread of Ukrainian vocal art. “Belcanto” creative and research scientific laboratory, which operates at the department, is the main basis for the students’ research. Theater groups are the core of mastering the practical skills and mastery abilities of an actor, which are important in the singer’s activity. Creative teams (vocal ensembles, bands) and their activities are the business cards of the department in particular and the University in general. They have an individual performance style formed on the basis of the Ukrainian vocal school. The participation of professorial staff in various programs of academic mobility and grants in art and music education is aimed at their personal professional development and selfimprovement of skills.
