CULTURE AND MODERN ART EDUCATION IN UKRAINE: THE MAIN TRENDS OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of domestic art education in the context of the development of modern culture. The purpose of the study is to understand art education and highlight the main trends of its development under the influence of transformational processes in culture. The research methodology is based on the application of civilizational and cultural approaches in the development of the modern paradigm of art education. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the definition of traditional and modern trends in the field of art education and prospects for its further formation in Ukraine. The author gives the definition of art education, highlights the main traditional reference points of art education, namely personal development, value orientations, aesthetic education. The work highlights new directions of art education, which are actualized through transformational processes, namely: changing the educational paradigm, reforming domestic education, integration into the world space, etc. The main trend of modern art education is seen as the development of innovative personality, endowed with creativity, spiritual richness, with a deep inner world, with an established national consciousness and a sense of patriotism, self-esteem, mobile in adaptation and flexible orientation in the controversial globalization world processes. It was concluded that the new concept of national art education should carry out educational and educational activities in intellectual and general cultural directions, act as a channel for the transmission of hereditary forms and a factor in the development of cultural innovations, be based on strengthening the organic connection of education with the origins of national culture, European and world traditions, achievements of domestic and world art.
