ARTISTIC ORIGINALITY AND ARTISTIC AND SENSIBLE DIVERSITY OF MARIA PRIYMACHENKO'S AMAZING ANIMALS AS A UNIQUE PHENOMENON OF UKRAINIAN ART

Abstract

The modern vector of development of scientific activity in the field of Ukrainian fine arts requires a deep study of the unique artistic heritage of Ukrainian artists, who have been awarded high titles in the field of world art. Maria Pryimachenko is one of such personalities. Her creative work left to posterity attracts the attention of art critics, ethnographers, artists and more. Maria Pryimachenko's work is a phenomenon of an amazing fusion of concrete thinking, intuition, fantasy and the subconscious. The plot works of the master have a clear commonality with folk pictures, while fantastic beasts are entirely a work of her imagination. The aim of the article is to analyze the artistic originality and artistic and semantic versatility of amazing animals in the paintings of Maria Pryimachenko. Realization of the set purpose provides the decision of the following tasks: 1) to analyze pictures of "animal series" of Maria Pryimachenko in the aspect of technical features of the image and color scale; 2) to find out what is the originality of the creative method of the master. The article's scientific novelty is due to the following provisions, namely: -determined that the fantastic beasts depicted on the paintings of Maria Pryimachenko are the most valuable and original part of her heritage; -proved that the work of Maria Pryimachenko is the result of a combination of reality and fiction, imagination and folk-genre sources, elements of ancient art, myths and fairy tales; -discovered that the fantastic beasts in the artist's paintings are endowed with human features and embody human thoughts and feelings; -It is noted that important in creating the original style of M. Pryimachenko played large forms, presented in the so-called "abstract space", ie as if detached from the ground, the intensity of color expression, color contrast and generous use of ornamentation. As a conclusion, the analyzed animal characters of M. Pryimachenko are marked by continuous symbiosis and transformations, mixes and recombinations. The genius artist has created her own artistic style of Ukrainian "naive art", within which there are endless versions of decorative, ornamental, genre and landscape compositions with flowers, birds and animals.
