Abstract

Music is a special kind of art, the value of which lies in the process of performing works and listening, in which the totality of the phenomena of its sound and their influence on human perception is revealed. The layers of such musical phenomena in a work are able to reflect different semantic facets. Often, a work, being a source of diverse information, has a high level of semantic concentration. Therefore, the study of music from the point of view of philosophy implies the need for a phenomenological approach, which allows us to approach the issue of musical perception as consciously as possible. The purpose of the article is a phenomenological study of musical art, which allows us to: interpret its essence; identify mechanisms of influence on the processes of formation and development of musical culture; outline the role of music in the transmission through time and space of artistic, aesthetic and spiritual meanings, values of culture using the example of a European country. Methodological approaches and research methods were based on the methods of interpretation of musical culture formed in cultural studies. The novelty and scientific significance of the study lies in the fact that it reveals the essence of the phenomenology of musical culture and art in the context of the formation and development of culture as: a carrier of meanings and values of culture, an instrument of self-awareness and self-creation of culture. Conclusions. Phenomenology as a doctrine of phenomena is not only a theory that describes certain phenomena (being, consciousness, a work of art), but also a method that allows you to identify and reveal the essence of phenomena, the inner content. The article considers the application of a systemic approach to modern musical culture in a combination of activity and axiological understanding of culture. The concept of a system of modern musical culture, the core of which is values, is substantiated. The differences between mass musical culture and academic musical culture lie in the significance of elements in the system, which directly depend on the values that underlie a particular musical culture.
