DESTRUCTIVE CONFLICTS AS A CURRENT PROBLEM OF MODERN STUDENT YOUTH

Abstract

To date, the social changes taking place inside the country, associated with the full-scale invasion of russian troops on the territory of Ukraine, cause the spread and increase of conflict situations in society. Almost every citizen of Ukraine needs protection and support, but one of the most vulnerable categories remains children, namely school youth who are students of secondary and vocational education. The problem of destructive conflicts that students face during the educational process is extremely relevant. Socio-economic instability, increased anxiety, constant stress and tension lead to the destabilization and development of personality and influence the increase of personal and interpersonal conflicts among school youth. The article updates the current problems of student youth, which lead to the spread of the phenomenon of destructive conflicts in educational institutions, considers the concept of conflict, features of destructive and constructive conflicts, defines typical signs of conflict behavior and their factors. Effective work methods aimed at preventing destructive conflicts among schoolchildren are characterized. The author of the article came to the conclusion that currently there is a need to implement preventive programs in secondary and vocational education institutions; formation of knowledge, abilities and skills of modern students to establish interaction, conflict-free communication and resolve conflicts constructively. The solution of the mentioned problems actualizes the issue of prevention of destructive conflicts among school youth and implementation of conflict behavior prevention programs.
