Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze the process of formation of the philosophical culture of future social workers in the modern Ukrainian institution of higher education. Emphasis is placed on the fact that philosophical culture reveals the individuality of man, the unique features of his personality, the level of needs and sources of their satisfaction, forms and promotes the ability to experience deep feelings that evoke amazing natural phenomena and immortal creations of human minds of different times and different civilizations. The research methodology is determined by the approach based on the principles of objectivity and integrity, as well as a set of general philosophical, general scientific and special research methods, which allowed to ensure the validity and reliability of scientific results. The scientific novelty lies in the theoretical substantiation of effective ways of forming the philosophical culture of future social workers by pedagogical means of teaching philosophical and socio-humanitarian disciplines. It is established that there is a semantic and meaningful demarcation of two main approaches to the use of the concept of «philosophical culture» in educational strategies of the modern education system: value-emotional, expressed by the formation of humanistic principles and pragmaticrational, according to which the content of philosophical «armament», its worldview is determined by purely pragmatic goals. The article highlights the general state of teaching philosophical and socio-humanitarian disciplines, taking into account the fact that today in domestic institutions of higher education philosophical and socio-humanitarian disciplines often become selective educational components, which will have negative consequences not only for a particular area of training. but also for the whole system of higher education. The authors conclude that philosophical culture requires a certain philosophical experience of understanding the world; without which the process of formation of philosophical culture becomes nonsense, turns into nonsense, its purpose becomes incomprehensible, and therefore – meaningless. It is emphasized that the increasing importance of philosophical culture is significantly enhanced not only by domestic contexts, but also by global integration processes, which lead to higher requirements for professional communication, as well as new demands, theoretical knowledge and practical skills. activities of a social worker.
