The article examines the level of awareness of representatives of Ukrainian civil society organizations about fundraising, in particular, about the tools and practices of attracting financial resources. The main attention is focused on the analysis of the level of knowledge, use of fundraising tools and problems that arise in this area. The study covered 25 non-governmental organizations in Vinnytsia region, whose activities are focused on social assistance, education, healthcare, culture and other areas. The distribution of awareness was studied depending on the field of activity, the duration of the organizations’ existence, and the participation of their representatives in fundraising training events. The most common methods of fundraising, the main difficulties faced by organizations, and their requests for educational programs to improve their skills in this area were also analyzed. The purpose of the study is to examine the level of awareness and use of fundraising tools among civil society organizations in Ukraine. The study involves analyzing the knowledge and practical experience of representatives of civil society organizations in raising financial resources through various channels, including grants, donations, crowdfunding, sponsorship, and other methods.Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the level of awareness of representatives of civil society organizations about various fundraising tools, as well as the dependence of this level on the scope of activities of organizations, their experience and participation in training events. The most common methods of raising resources, such as grant programs, charity events, donor support, as well as less common methods, such as crowdfunding and corporate sponsorship, are considered. The difficulties faced by organizations, including lack of knowledge, resources, and contacts with donors, are analyzed separately, which allowed us to identify areas for professional development and development of effective fundraising strategies. To achieve this goal and fulfill the objectives of the study, the survey method was used, in particular, among representatives of public organizations to collect data on their awareness and use of fundraising tools.Scientific novelty. The results of the study provide valuable information about the current level of awareness of fundraising tools among Ukrainian CSOs. This will help determine which tools are the most popular and effective, as well as identify gaps in knowledge and skills that need to be filled to improve the effectiveness of fundraising activities. Based on the data obtained, it will be possible to develop recommendations for improving the training and support of CSOs in the field of fundraising. Conclusions. The general analysis of the awareness and use of fundraising among the surveyed organizations shows that there are different levels of knowledge and practices in this area. The majority of organizations have a partial understanding of fundraising (48%), while only a small share is well or very well aware of this process. This situation indicates the need for more active training and professional development, which is confirmed by the significant interest in participating in trainings and seminars (90% of respondents).
