Abstract

The aim of the article is to study the capabilities of AI tools and the peculiarities of their implementation in the structure of modern social work, taking into account ethical, organisational and competence aspects; its subject is the specificity of the above-mentioned tools in a number of aspects: provision of social services, decision-making support and optimisation of professional activity. The scientific novelty of the study lies in an integrated approach to the implementation of innovative tools (in particular, based on artificial intelligence) in social work as a complex system of ethical, organisational and other aspects. The study has confirmed the feasibility of implementing AI tools in social work, outlining the conditions for this process. Among the benefits, we have identified an increase in the efficiency of social work production processes: in particular, social support, optimisation of current activities (e.g., filling out documentation, data analysis, etc.) and expanding the ability to predict potential risks. At the same time, this process requires an integrated approach, parallel development of digital infrastructure, staff development and development of supporting documentation (primarily, a regulatory framework) on the use of such technologies when working with vulnerable groups. Prospects for further research are related to a detailed analysis of sources (EU and Ukraine) to localise practices, strategies, etc. that can be applied on a Ukrainian basis; identifying gaps in the legal framework of Ukraine and developing recommendations for the creation of certain documents (laws, regulations, protocols, etc.). The latter can regulate and stabilise the introduction of innovative AI tools into social work practice, ensuring the coherence, consistency and logic of this process.
