SOCIAL REALITY IN THE CONVENTION OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC THROUGH THE PRISM OF SOCIAL DESIGN

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify the essence of the concepts of «project», «design», «social project», «social design»; clarification of modern approaches to determining their content in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study are the works of domestic and foreign researchers in the field of social forecasting, social management and design, social and psychological and pedagogical research on these topics. The research used the method of theoretical analysis of sources and literature on the subject of research; comparative method in outlining the basic features of the concepts being studied, as well as the principles of identifying the essence of concepts and their definitions. The scientific novelty of the publication is a critical analysis of the current state of social reality, marked by the problems associated with the COVID-19 pandemic; clarification and generalization of modern approaches to defining the essence of the concepts «project», «design», «social project», «social design»; outlining the basic principles and features of the organization of social design in the current conditions; coverage of scientific approaches to the classification of social projects; determining the practical significance of innovative developments in social work. The article highlights the essence of the concepts «project», «design», «social project», «social design». Social design is seen as a creative process of human-led social reality in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is forced to respond quickly to challenges and change the format of work and emphasis. It is specified that any social formations cannot be imagined without a person, his active creative activity, one of the results of which is social design. Such activities are becoming especially relevant today, during the global pandemic. The COVID-19 epidemic demonstrated the unpreparedness of civil protection systems and, most importantly, public health to adequately respond to challenges of this magnitude. It is emphasized that social design permeates all spheres of human activity, but only the innovative view of professionals and their systematic creative approach in today's forced conditions allows optimal design of current social phenomena and processes.
