QUESTIONNAIRE ‘ROLE FIELD OF PERSONALITY’ AS A NEW METHOD OF DETERMINING THE FEATURES OF THE ROLE POSITION OF A MODERN WOMAN

Abstract

The article is devoted to the solution of today's relevant issue – the study of the role position of a modern woman, through the creation and implementation of the ‘Role field of personality’ questionnaire. The development of society and changes in social relations between people give reasons to talk about the change in the role of women in modern society, about her acceptance and implementation of those roles that were not previously assigned to women. Changing her own role baggage, filling it, managing previously unknown roles and relationships between them, a woman gradually changes her own role position as well. When studying the concepts of ‘role’ and ‘role position’, we can say that these terms are often identified by researchers and are used as synonyms. We consider it necessary to note that a role is a social function of an individual, which represents a certain way of human behavior and corresponds to the rules and norms accepted in society and depends on the individual's status in it. Role position is not a function of personality. The position of the individual is formed and developed under the influence of his experience and is a reflection of the interpersonal relations of the individual in his internal structure. Focusing attention on the role position of the individual, we can say that it acts as a certain reflection of relations in the role repertoire of the individual. In order to study the specifics of the role position of a modern woman, namely to determine the spectrum of relationships between the roles of an individual, we created the ‘Role field of an individual’ questionnaire, which is designed to determine the place and meaning of specific roles for an individual, to analyze the harmonious and disharmonious relationships between them, as well as the individual's attitude to her roles. To develop such a questionnaire, the components of the role position of the individual were determined, which, in our opinion, reflect the entire range of relationships between the roles of the individual, and it was expertly evaluated and tested among modern women. The obtained results show the expediency of using the proposed questionnaire to study the topical issue of determining the role position of a modern woman.
