Abstract

In the system of action and activity patterns of the subject of educational and professional activity, creativity is a defining characteristic of his self-realization, self-actualization, academic success, further professional development and personal comfort. Creativity is considered as the subject’s motivated ability for innovative activity, which is determined by a system of nonlinear, multi-level psychological characteristics of the person who creates, and the features of its manifestation are significantly determined by the specificity of the subject’s leading activity. The main goal of the research is the theoretical-methodological and empirical analysis of the main motivational regulators of creativity of the subject of educational and professional activity, conceptualized within the framework of the theory of self-determination. As research methods, we use the analysis of theoretical and methodological psychological-pedagogical literature on the research topic, psychological-diagnostic examination, methods of mathematical and statistical processing of the material (quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data obtained during the experiment, cluster analysis procedure). The external motivation of the subject of educational and professional activity is represented by external, introjected, identified and integrated types of activity regulation. It has been proven that there is a high level of motivation for innovative activity of the subject of educational and professional activity in the process of training in higher education; it was established that at the beginning of higher education, high imaginative creativity contributes to the motivation of the educational process and increases the level of relevance of external regulation of the behavior of highly creative students; it can be stated that at the time of completion of professional training, higher education students of humanitarian and artistic profiles show a statistically higher level of motivation to study than students of natural sciences.
