Abstract

The article theoretically substantiates the relevance and expediency of scientific work on the development of the value-meaning sphere of military personnel participating in combat operations. Theoretical developments of foreign and ukrainian researchers in the direction of the development of the value-meaning sphere, explanations of the mechanisms of its formation are given. The value-meaning sphere is a dynamic system of values and meanings that have a certain structure and direction, depending on personal aspirations, beliefs and life changes. Value-meaning problems of the individual become especially acute in periods of social changes, wars, global crises and social instability, when society itself reevaluates and transforms previous value and meaning experience. Crisis situations related to the protection of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state affect the psychological state, personal characteristics, acceptance and reinterpretation of the traumatic experience, the direction of life. Taking into account the specifics of the professional activity of military personnel participating in hostilities, the specifics of the military team as a separate socio-professional group, the article describes three groups of value and meaning orientations: universal, professional, and personal. This is explained by the fact that a person develops dynamically throughout his life, goes through numerous stages of social and psychological transformations, changes the social environment, place and own roles in it. The strategies of behavior and adaptation of military personnel to combat operations (constructive, situational-adaptive, destructive) are highlighted and accordingly, they are related to the stages of the dynamics of the development of the value-meaning sphere during the period of professional activity. After all, each stage of adaptation is a crisis, since critical value-meaning transformations take place here. As a result of participation in hostilities and depending on the chosen strategy of behavior, servicemen undergo a valuemeaning restructuring of the personality, which is a mandatory stage of personal development, an "impulse" for further movement and determination of future prospects.
