PECULIARITIES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL COMPATIBILITY OF MARRIED COUPLES

The article substantiates the relevance of the topic of research on the psychological compatibility of spouses, as a factor that affects health, work capacity, effectiveness of interaction with society, functional and psycho-emotional states of spouses, life satisfaction, that is, almost all subjective and objective factors. objective indicators of the activity of individuals. The results of the theoretical analysis of the problem of studying joint compatibility as one of the most complex phenomena of social-psychological science, which has not been sufficiently investigated so far, are highlighted. Peculiarities of the functioning of married couples have been studied. The main conceptual approaches to understanding joint compatibility, which are presented in modern psychological research, are highlighted. The results of an empirical study of the compatibility of a married couple are presented. Compatible (harmonious) and incompatible (disharmonious) relationships between husband and wife are characterized. Significant differences between groups of couples with harmonious, "transitional" and disharmonious relationships were revealed according to many empirical indicators. It is indicated that the higher values of the isolated empirical indicators to a greater extent characterize couples with harmonious relationships. Medium and low levels of manifestation appeared to be characteristic of married couples with "transitional" and disharmonious relationships. It was found that the level of compatibility has strong connections with indicators that characterize harmonious relationships, and therefore can be considered as an integral subjective indicator of their harmony.
