SATISFACTION WITH MARITAL RELATIONS IN A YOUNG MARRIAGE DETERMINED BY THE COMMUNICATIVE FUNCTION OF COMMUNICATION

Abstract

The article presents the peculiarities of the functioning of a young couple, analyzes the determinants of marital satisfaction, strategies and roles chosen by partners in everyday life. Psychodiagnostic methods of researching the peculiarities of communication as a factor of satisfaction with marital relations in a young marriage have been determined. The relationship between satisfaction with marriage and the level of mutual understanding, acceptance of oneself and one's partner, and the desire to build family relationships is substantiated. The important role of the communicative function of communication between partners in building harmonious marital relations has been confirmed. Family ties allow a person to maintain psychological balance, develop, master family roles, be resistant to stress, and feel right. It has been established that young couples are ready to build close relationships and have an urgent need to establish contacts or build interpersonal relationships. Honesty and directness are valued in partner relations. At the same time, they have an abstract idea of a joint future, so they periodically delve into fantasies. They also maintain a close relationship with their parents and value their support. The obtained results of the study proved that the sexual relations of the married couple have a special influence on the satisfaction of the marriage. It was found that the partners have quite modern views on sexual relations: they do not have a prejudiced attitude towards sexual contacts before marriage, they perceive sex as a healthy physiological need. As the comparative analysis of the indicators of satisfaction with the marital relations of the subjects of our sample and communication between partners showed, there is a direct relationship: the higher the indicators of trustworthiness in communication, mutual understanding between partners, ease of communication, similarity in views, the higher the level of satisfaction with marriage. These couples are characterized by high indicators of common family symbols and psychotherapeutic communication. The practical significance of the obtained results is determined by the possibility of using the developed and tested complex of psychodiagnostic methods and the results and conclusions of the conducted research in working with young people on the issues of forming adequate ideas about marital relationships and providing advisory assistance to married couples in the detection of violations in marital and family relations.
