MANAGEMENT AND ACTIVITIES STRATEGIES IN THE CONTEXT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE PRESERVATION

Abstract

The European choice for the development of Ukrainian society presupposes an awareness of the principles and standards of effective cultural policy adopted by the civilized world. Time demands the use of new forms and methods of preservation and use of the cultural heritage of Volyn region. The aim of the article is to analyze the features of strategic management and activities in the context of cultural heritage preservation. The goal is achieved by solving the following tasks: 1) disclosure of essence and concept of cultural dimension of mankind development 2) research of Council of Europe experts recommendations concerning development of cultural heritage in the conditions of decentralization 3) definition of features of cultural values and forms reproduction in Volyn and Lutsk in particular. The article considers cultural heritage as a significant creative potential that preserves deep social meanings and plays an important role in carrying out modernization transformations. As a conclusion, the article emphasizes that in modern forms of cultural policy the development of creative selfrealization in freedom is the main priority, every citizen must become a participant in effective change and sociocultural transformation. Implementation of creative and effective strategies of activity in the cultural sphere opens new opportunities for each territorial community of Volyn.
