THE ROLE OF THE SOCIAL WORKER'S PERSONALITY IN EFFECTIVE INTERACTION WITH THE CLIENT

Abstract

The article provides a theoretical analysis of the importance of the social worker's personality in effective interaction with the client. The following methods were used to investigate the problem: theoretical and methodological analysis of literary sources; included and mediated observation; retrospective analysis of the author's own experience. It was revealed that, based on the growing demands placed by employers on the social abilities of employees, on the readiness to participate in joint activities, the preparation of the future social worker for interaction with the client is professionally significant and socially necessary. It refers to the field of professional training of future bachelors, therefore, it is preparation for their further work. It was established that the effective interaction of a social work specialist with a client is defined as a special form of their social interaction in unity with psychological and pedagogical, which reflects the organization of joint activities for the performance of a common task, coordination of actions based on understanding, acceptance and recognition of the client as a person who needs help and support. Considering the role of the social worker's personality in effective harmonious interaction with the client, we assumed that social work belongs to those rare types of professional activity, where often not professional knowledge and skills, but personal qualities of the specialist largely determine its success and effectiveness. The theoretical analysis of the actual problem made it possible to highlight that the moral culture and personality qualities of a social worker largely determine the success of his interaction with the client and are a necessary condition for his professionalism. It is necessary to influence the formation of personal qualities of future social workers at the stage of training in institutions of higher education. The leading factor in the process of education of future social workers is the formation of their worldview and such professional and personal qualities as empathy, benevolence, altruism, necessary for the implementation of professional tasks.
