SOCIAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF REHABILITATION IN SOCIAL WORK: THEORETICAL ASPECT

The article aims to provide a theoretical analysis of the concept and specific aspects of socio-psychological rehabilitation. It also examines the theoretical and practical contributions of Ukrainian and international researchers on the chosen topic.The following methods were applied in this study: scientific literature analysis to determine the current state of research on the topic; generalization, abstraction, and systematization; principles of the systemic and activity-based approach in general psychology and sociology; and general sociological perspectives on socio-psychological rehabilitation, including its directions, principles, characteristics, components, technologies, stages, and aspects.The study of contemporary theoretical aspects of social work involves a detailed analysis of Ukrainian research and publications on the topic. The term “socio-psychological rehabilitation” was identified and systematized. The article uncovers the psychological and sociological foundations, directions, principles, characteristics, components, technologies, stages, and aspects of socio-psychological rehabilitation.The phenomenon of socio-psychological rehabilitation is explored in detail, highlighting the differences between rehabilitation technologies, methods, directions, and approaches. Socio-psychological technologies are seen as a promising tool for systematizing the rehabilitation process, allowing for structured actions by psychologists to achieve specific rehabilitation outcomes. The article presents an original definition of socio-psychological rehabilitation as an interdisciplinary service complex, predominantly utilizing psychological support and assistance to restore an individual’s psychological well-being and agency. Additionally, a list of contemporary socio-psychological rehabilitation technologies is provided, along with suggestions for their systematization and organization.Based on scientific research, it has been established that social-psychological rehabilitation is a process of personality recovery and adaptation, which includes the use of psychological and social methods to overcome the consequences of traumatic events, stress, or psychological disorders. This rehabilitation is aimed at restoring the social function of an individual, improving their psycho-emotional state, and enhancing their quality of life. Its primary goal is to assist individuals in rebuilding social connections, improving their psycho-emotional well-being, and adapting to life changes.Social work plays a crucial role in this process, providing a holistic approach to rehabilitation by combining psychological support, social services, and facilitating the social integration of the individual.
