RESEARCH INTO THE PROCESS OF CREATING FAMILY FORMS OF EDUCATION TO ENSURE THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CHILD

Abstract

Ensuring the right of the child to grow up in a family environment involves a comprehensive study of the problem of family forms of alternative care, the readiness of individuals/families to place orphans and children deprived of parental care in their families. In particular, the article reveals the problem of researching the process of creating family forms of upbringing (SFV – foster families, family-type orphanages, families of guardians/caregivers).The purpose of the article is to present the methodology, techniques and tools for researching the process of creating SFV (from the intention to accept a child into one’s family to the fact of placement and adaptation of the child) to clarify the reasons and difficulties that slow down the development of family forms of upbringing, affect the quality of care and upbringing, to ensure the best interests of a child left without parental care.The experience of developing and testing the methodology, techniques and tools for studying the FFS on the way from intentions to accepting a child into one’s family is presented. The research algorithm is outlined (analytical-conceptual, preparatory-instrumental, organizational-prognostic, the stage of interviewing respondents using the basic diagnostic tool, generalizing-summary stages). The methods of studying the process of creating the FFS are characterized (desk analysis of documents (legislative framework) regarding the process of creating and ensuring the functioning of the FFS; questionnaires, interviewing candidates, description of a case study). Based on the analysis of current legislation, the stages of creating the FFS are determined. Key questions for a comprehensive questionnaire for candidates for the FFS are presented in detail in accordance with each stage.
