ORGANIZATION THE PREVENTION OF SUBSTANCE USE BY ADOLESCENTS: METHODOLOGICAL ASPECT

Abstract

The author focuses on such a relevant scientific direction as the development and testing of various socio-pedagogical programs for the prevention of psychoactive substances by children, adolescents and young people, emphasizing that the formation of effective preventive strategies is very difficult. In the publication, the author emphasizes that the training of drug resistance and the formation of psychosocial skills in children and youth is most effective to predict through interactive methods, as it is due to the need to form responsible behavior of adolescents in risky situations. The author notes that there are different approaches to the organization of preventive work, including: information, emotional “learning”, providing an alternative, analysis of the social environment and providing an alternative. Particular attention to the author’s deep conviction is the appeal to values and knowledge and, accordingly, the approach to the renewal of life skills, which focus on increasing adolescents’ resistance to various negative social influences and individual competence. The effectiveness of the implementation of anti-drug prevention programs based on the formation of life skills is facilitated by the observance of socio-pedagogical principles based on the theory of the formation of a healthy lifestyle and psychosocial skills. In the publication, the author highlights preventive anti-drug classes, even given the situation of coronavirus pandemic and distance learning, should still be organized in the form of psychosocial skills training and focuses on some methodological aspects of organizing and conducting group training with adolescents.
