UKRAINIAN FOLK PEDAGOGY AS A MEANS OF INTRODUCING PRESCHOOLERS TO THE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The aim of the work is to explore the potential of using Ukrainian folk pedagogy as a means of introducing preschoolers to the social environment and developing their basic social competencies. The study employs cultural, historical- pedagogical, and comparative methods to analyze the pedagogical potential of folk art, rituals, and traditions. The scientific novelty of the research lies in identifying new approaches to integrating folkloric elements into the educational process in preschool education, contributing to a harmonious combination of national cultural heritage with modern pedagogical methods.The results of the study confirm that Ukrainian folk pedagogy is a powerful tool for forming moral and ethical values, developing communication skills, and laying the foundations of national consciousness. Particular attention is paid to the use of fairy tales, proverbs, folk songs, games, and rituals as effective means of upbringing. Integrating these elements into the educational process helps children better understand social norms, interact with their environment, and foster tolerance for other cultures.The conclusions indicate that the application of Ukrainian folk pedagogy in preschool education promotes the development of a holistic, nationally conscious personality capable of adapting to modern challenges. Future research prospects include the development of new methods for adapting folkloric elements to the contemporary educational environment and studying their impact on children’s socialization in the context of globalization.
