Abstract

The article reveals the preparation of future teachers of preschool and primary education to teach mathematics to older preschool children and first-graders. The analysis of researches on a problem of preparation of experts in the specified kind of activity is carried out. The purpose of the article is to prepare future educators and teachers to teach mathematics to senior preschoolers and first graders. The urgency of choosing a research topic, which is to solve a complex socio-pedagogical task – ensuring continuity between related levels of education: preschool and primary, which helps to increase the general readiness of the child for school and further interest in mathematics. Indicators of mathematical development are singled out, to which special attention should be paid to specialists of both educational levels. It was found that achieving a high level of readiness of children to study at school involves improving both the content and procedural components of teaching mathematics. To implement these areas, the following organizational forms are used: methodological associations, seminars for teachers of preschool education and primary school teachers; joint pedagogical councils, conferences; conducting open didactic and educational activities for teachers of preschool education and primary school teachers; open days in preschools and primary schools; joint analysis of continuity activities; individual consultations of teachers of preschool education institutions and primary school teachers; mutual visits and analysis of didactic and educational activities; mutual learning of primary school teachers and teachers of preschool education institutions, study of personal files, development maps, diagnostic materials for development.
