PECULIARITIES OF FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF CADETS OF MINISTRY OF INTERIOR

Abstract

The importance of introducing a competency-based approach to the higher education system is outlined. The target
orientation of the competence approach is determined. The main task of the educational process in higher education is
revealed. The content of the system of professional training of cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is considered. The
definition of the concept "professional competence of cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs" is given, various author's
approaches to the interpretation of the concept are considered. The degree of coverage of professional competence
of cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is characterized. Signs of readiness for professional activity are presented.
The structural components of professional competence and stages of professional development of cadets of the Ministry
of Internal Affairs (options, professional training, professional adaptation, primary and secondary professionalization,
skills) are indicated. The conditions for achieving efficiency in professional activities are determined. The criteria
of professional competence are presented and characterized: motivational-target, cognitive, effective-activity. The peculiarities of the content of professional and psychological training are described. The role of professional orientation
in ensuring the application of situational tasks in the study of subjects of the block of professional and practical training
and various situational tasks during the passage of various scenarios. Emphasis is placed on the importance of fulfilling
scenarios for future employees to solve new tasks, probable and non-standard professional situations. It is stated that
among the types of professional competence the most important are those that are important for the implementation
of job responsibilities in the course of professional activities (search, prevention, certification, communication, design
and organizational). The relevance of the inclusion of knowledge, skills and abilities that will be needed by employees in
future professional activities to the content of the educational process in higher educational institutions of the Ministry
of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is summarized.
