PECULIARITIES OF CORRECTIONAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL WORK OF SPEECH THERAPIST WITH CHILDREN WITH CLEFT LIP CLEFT PALATE

Abstract

The article considers the specifics of correctional and developmental work of speech therapists with children with congenital cleft lips and palate, based on the need to understand the specific features and problems of this pathology, which determines the social orientation of this problem. In today's world, a person with congenital pathology of the maxillofacial region should be considered not only as an object of medical influence and socio-pedagogical care, but also as an active subject of society, creating conditions for self-realization. The aim of the work is to streamline and generalize the existing areas, methods and forms of correctional and developmental work with children with rhinolalia at different ages and at different stages of rehabilitation (preoperative and postoperative). Determining the importance of differential diagnosis of children for the correct choice of tasks and methods of correctional and developmental work. Emphasis is placed on the indicators on the basis of which the speech therapy conclusion is formed, and, if necessary, additional examinations are assigned. The research methodology was based on the theoretical principles of comparison and generalization of scientific data in the field of medicine, speech therapy, correctional pedagogy on the research problem in order to determine the theoretical and methodological principles of the study. The scientific novelty of the study is to highlight the content of methods of early comprehensive correctional and developmental work with children with congenital malformations of the lips and palate, taking into account modern methods of early surgical correction, the pace of psychospeech development of children. Thus, the success of the correction process depends not only on systematic speech therapy work aimed at educating directed speech breathing, development of articulatory processes and phonemic perception, but also on timely surgery, medical rehabilitation, psychophysiological condition of the child.
