Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the use of case technologies in the process of students’ independent work organizing. The definition of ‘case technology’ has been offered; the ways of development of case technologies and their current state have been traced; the challenges facing the teacher in the process of organizing students independent work have been highlighted; recommendations for the use of case technology by the teacher in the process of organizing students’ independent work have been offered be the author. The author of the article noted that the standards of higher educational institutions significantly increase the standards of time spent on independent work by students. In this regard, the teacher is faced with the question of effective organization of students’ independent work. The new conditions provide for a significant individualization of the educational process with an active position of the student. The search for ways to improve the quality of training forces higher educational institutions to review both the content of education and training, and the technology of the creative process. The current state of training in higher education dictates the need to find new ways to improve the quality of their theoretical training, readiness for independent creative work, and most importantly the means and methods of preparing graduates for practical and professional activities. The use of case technologies can help in solving this problem. According to the author of the article, the use of case technologies provides an opportunity to organize the learning process in such a way that each student will have the opportunity to master the study material on specific topics, subjects at different levels, but not below basic one. This is organized due to students’ abilities and individual characteristics. Among a number of different challenges faced by each student, we consider it necessary to single out the following: a student who chooses a specialty (often on the advice of parents), not always active enough in the learning process, cannot perform independently, study any topics, practical tasks, creative approach to solving the problem.
