THEATRICAL ACTIVITY AS A MEANS OF DEVELOPING THE CREATIVE PERSONALITY OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

The concept of creativity and features of developing the creative abilities of preschool children was examined; the role of theatrical activity in the development of children’s creative abilities was determined in the article on the basis of scientific approaches analysis. Principles of organizing theatrical activity to ensure the effective result of children’s creative development during the pedagogical process in a preschool education establishment were highlighted. The leading role of theatrical activity as a means of developing the creative personality of a preschool child was defined. It was found that a preschool age was considered a favourable period for the manifestation of a child’s personality in various fields of knowledge and creativity. It was emphasized that the main feature of the personal development of a preschool child was creativity, which in turn was a normal feature of the child’s age. It is outlined that a creative personality of a preschool child was a complex of personality properties. Creativity was inextricably connected with such qualities of a preschooler’s personality as productive imagination, creative thinking and activity, presence of creative inclinations and abilities, motivation and subjective experience of creation. In addition, such qualities as passion for creative activity, originality, initiative, quick orientation in unfamiliar situations, unusual intensity of attention, receptivity, intuition, breadth of knowledge, avoidance of patterns, tenacity, high self-organization, colossal work capacity, satisfaction not so much in achieving the purpose of creativity, as the creative process itself were added to this list. Therefore, theoretical analysis of scientific literature on the studied issue was aimed at clarifying the main theoretical approaches to understanding the nature, essence and development of creative abilities; peculiarities of the development of creative abilities by means of theatrical activity; specifics of leisure activities that must be taken into account while organizing the classes of theatre arts with preschool children.
