Abstract

Abstract. The article characterizes the peculiarities of modern international migration processes of Ukrainians in the conditions of brutal aggression of the russian occupying forces on the territory of Ukraine, considers and analyzes the influence of the migration of the population of Ukraine abroad on the demographic, economic, social, and political development of the Ukrainian state and European countries. The labor migration of the population of Ukraine before the russian-Ukrainian war, which became an important source of funds, knowledge and experience for Ukrainian society, was studied. New risks associated with the departure of a large number of Ukrainians to work in European countries and the loss of part of the labor and intellectual potential of society are analyzed. In the current conditions of the brutal aggression of the russian occupying forces, the processes of international migration of Ukrainians have acquired other characteristics – the departure of the population, mainly women of reproductive age with children, for the purpose of temporary shelter, saving their lives and the lives of their children. Thanks to the analysis of materials, characteristic trends of international population migration, the state of these processes during the two-year russian-Ukrainian war and the consequences for the national economic complex of the state under conditions of stagnation and continuation of military operations were characterized and analyzed. The influence of the forced migration of the population in the conditions of the russian-Ukrainian war and its negative consequences for the gene pool of Ukraine are considered and researched. On the basis of developed analytical and statistical sources, possible future consequences and prospects for Ukraine are determined. First, the impact of the war on labor resources is taken into account, since a significant number of industrial and social facilities, critical infrastructure, logistics, etc. were destroyed as a result of the war. This led to the destruction of the economy, objects of the social sphere, transport, other industries and types of human activity. The destruction of enterprises, industries, infrastructure in war zones, and not only that, their relocation, internal displacement of the population and uncertainty about the future have created a number of problems for the employment of the population. The unemployment of the population and the growth of unemployment led to a significant deterioration in the quality of life of the population. As a result, migration processes intensified, the cause of which was the war. People were forced to seek safety and new opportunities to live abroad. Emigration has become the only way out of the situation for many Ukrainians who are trying to create safe living conditions for their relatives and friends. The international migration of Ukrainians already has a tangible impact on the demographic situation and modern development of Ukraine, and post-war, in particular, the loss of qualified workers and the reduction of economic potential for further socio-economic development. By researching and analyzing migration processes, possible ways were outlined and a number of measures were determined that will contribute to the expansion of opportunities for further social development of Ukraine.
