Abstract

The article is devoted to researching the theoretical and practical foundations of the rhetorical teacher’s rhetorical activity, in particular, examining the historical development of didactic eloquence, justifying the expediency of introducing pedagogical rhetoric into the system of professional training of future rhetorician teachers. The educational discipline “Pedagogical Rhetoric” is aimed at deepening the speech-rhetorical competence of the future teacher and forming his readiness for speech-rhetorical activity. The main tasks of studying the discipline are mastering the speech and rhetorical skills of the teacher in order to rhetoricize the educational process at school; awareness of the specifics of speech and rhetorical activity, features of communicative and speech situations, characteristic of the professional sphere of a speech teacher; the development of a speech-rhetorical personality, which is able to apply the acquired knowledge and formed skills in new conditions of manifestation of one or another communicative situation, capable of searching for and finding its own solution to various professional tasks; higher education students’ knowledge of the essence of the speech-rhetorical ideal of the lexicographer as a component of culture and a model of pedagogical communication. The purpose of our article is to analyze the problems of the rhetorical activity of a lexicographer in the context of professional training of a lexicographer in accordance with the educational program “Secondary Education (Ukrainian Language and Literature)”, specialty 014 “Secondary Education (Ukrainian Language and Literature)”. The following research methods were used to solve the tasks in the work process: theoretical: analysis and synthesis during the processing of linguistic, psychological, pedagogical and methodical literature on the researched problem; empirical: conduct and analysis of classes in the specified discipline. Rhetoricization of the educational space involves the formation of the rhetorical skill of the future lexicographer, the study of the patterns of development of the art of eloquence in the modern pedagogical process.
