Abstract

The purpose of the article is to reveal the psychological and pedagogical mechanisms for the development of giftedness of mountain school students in geography lessons. The article is prepared on the basis of studying the practical experience of educational institutions in mountainous areas, analysis of the effectiveness of the organization of geography lessons, elaboration of scientific and pedagogical literature on the outlined problem. The authors reveal the specifics of the activities of general secondary education in a mountain environment, point to innovative approaches to the organization of geography lessons; highlight specific forms of work in lessons with gifted and creative students. Emphasize the need to improve the system of measures aimed at creating conditions for successful socialization and self-realization of creatively gifted individuals. Non-standard approaches to the organization of the educational process contribute to the successful construction of geography lessons with the use of modern innovative technologies for the creative development of gifted students during the formation of their geographical knowledge and practical competencies. It is pointed out that in mountainous conditions it is important to properly organize the work of the teaching staff for the development of gifted and talented children, not only to create the necessary conditions for their development, but also to carry out socio-psychological training for hard work, self-education and self-education. The research methodology is based on scientific concepts of socio-culture, synergetism, environmental compliance, accompanied by the use of scientific research methods (observation, content analysis, study of school documentation, pedagogical support). The scientific novelty of the study lies in the expression of psychological and pedagogical mechanisms for the development of gifted students in geography lessons under the influence of the mountain environment. Research of mountain schools, examples of creative personalities – natives of mountainous areas, study of advanced pedagogical experience of geography teachers suggest that the educational space of mountain school as an example of innovative activity of modern educational institution, promotes development and development of talent as a universal component of personality.
