PEDAGOGICAL EDUCATION IN VOLYN. FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE TEACHER’S PERSONALITY (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE HISTORY OF THE GRADUATES OF LESYA UKRAINKA VOLYN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY)

Abstract

The article highlights the pedagogical activities of the best teachers of Volyn, graduates of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, over the years. Lesyn University, one of the oldest higher education institutions in the region, is interested in training specialists who would not only ensure the fulfillment of compulsory education tasks but also contribute to a high level of education and culture of our citizens. In particular, the author focuses on the main interrelated processes that combine teaching and upbringing of children, quality education, scientific and technological progress, and development of society. It is emphasized that the teacher has a decisive role in the modern educational process, it is he or she who is called upon to operate with knowledge, to possess pedagogical skills, psychological and pedagogical culture, the ability to self-analysis, self-organization. It is outlined that in their pedagogical activities, modern teachers pay considerable attention to methodological work, implementation of the principles and ideas of the NUS in primary and secondary schools, education of socially competent and tolerant individuals, citizens and patriots of their state who share democratic values, have critical thinking and a responsible attitude towards the community, native land, country and seek to preserve, develop and increase the natural, economic and cultural potential of Ukraine. It is noted that Ukrainian teachers are currently facing new challenges, and the state of modern education, the grounds it prepares for the restoration of the country, for the development of human capital, and the prospects it builds for future generations depend on the comprehensive development of the individual as the highest value of society. The community of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University always keeps in touch with its graduates, studies their work experience, analyzes it, and through joint activities with secondary education institutions directs its work to train professional specialists in the field of education, expands the list of educational programs for the training of teachers and other pedagogical staff, explores the possibilities of introducing combined specialties, and most importantly, makes every effort to form professionals who adhere to modern technologies and innovative teaching methods to convey knowledge to students.
