DISCIPLINE “GUARDIANSHIP OVER CHILDREN” IN TRAINING PROGRAM FOR THE DEGREE OF MASTER OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to reveal the content of the discipline “Guardianship over children” as one of the optional educational disciplines in the training of the second (master’s) level of higher education specialty 012 “Preschool Education”. The purpose of the discipline is to form skills and abilities of guardianship over children, taking into account the peculiarities of developmental and inclusive environment, individual development of each child, mastering pedagogical tools, the ability to creatively plan their own educational activities with preschool children. Emphasis is placed on content modules (guardianship over children as a scientific problem; methodological approaches to the study of guardianship over children; the contribution of Ukrainian and foreign educators in the theory and practice of guardianship over children; the child’s needs in guardianship pedagogy; family and institutional forms of guardianship over children; guardianship issues over children in preschool institutions; model of guardian and educational activities of teachers). It is noted that the content of the discipline involves the mastery of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of guardianship and educational work with preschool children, taking into account the peculiarities of child development and the educational environment of preschool institutions; study, generalization and implementation of forms, methods and means of providing guardianship over children in various life situations; methodically direct the guardianship and educational process on the basis of advanced pedagogical experience of educators, taking into account the individual needs and interests of each child; the ability to create one’s own image of an educator in the context of modern requirements, etc. Conclusions. It is expedient to include the discipline “Guardianship over children” in the educational-professional training program of the second (master’s) level of higher education specialty 012 “Preschool education” as an optional educational component.
