THE USE OF MODELING IN THE PEDAGOGICAL CORRECTION OF THE OLDER PRESCHOOL CHILDREN’S SPEECH SOUND CULTURE

Abstract

The article deals with the relevance of the problem of pedagogical correction of the speech sound culture or older preschool children. The definition of the concept of “pedagogical correction of the speech sound culture” is proposed. This concept is interpreted as a multicomponent structure consisting of phonetic speech correctness (perception and discrimination of phonemes by ear, articulation of sounds, their pronunciation); general speech skills (speech breathing, diction, tempo and rhythm of speech, voice strength, accent) and orthographic correctness of speech (compliance with standardized literary pronunciation). An analysis of research on preschool language didactics was carried out, where the effectiveness of using the modeling method in the development of children’s speech was studied. The types of models used in the speech development of preschool children are characterized. The methods of using modeling in the mass practice of pedagogical teams of preschool education institutions is analyzed, the features and shortcomings of the studied activity are outlined. The use of modeling as a method of activating speech and intellectual activity in the process of pedagogical correction of the children’s speech sound culture is proposed. It has been proven that modeling contributes to the child’s better understanding of the peculiarities of articulation and pronunciation of sounds. Scientific research was carried out with the help of theoretical methods: the analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodical studies on the problem of education of the preschool children’s speech sound culture; the empirical: conversations with children, teachers, parents of children, examination of the speech sound culture of older preschool children; the constatation, forming and control experiment to check the effectiveness of the experimental methods; mathematical methods for processing and interpreting research results. The prospect of further research is determined, which will consist in the development of methodical recommendations for educators of preschool education institutions on pedagogical correction of the speech sound culture
