SOCIAL EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY “PREPARATION FOR RELEASE” FOR JUVENILE OFFENDERS

The article identifies the key features of the social education technology “Preparation for Release” for juvenile offenders, adolescents and youth, namely: 1) multifunctional; 2) goal-oriented; 3) modular; 4) group-based; 5) interactive. The object of the technology is juvenile offenders, adolescents and youth. The subjects of technology implementation are social work specialists and inspectors responsible for preparing juvenile offenders for release. The purpose and objectives of the technology are aimed at the development and formation of an integrated set of competencies (life competence, healthpreserving competence, communicative competence, legal competence, social competence, economic competence, and leisure competence) of juvenile offenders, adolescents and youth. The structure and content of the technology consist of eight modules such as: Module 1 “Preparation for Release: First Steps” (six sessions); Module 2 “Family and Healthy Relationships” (seven sessions); Module 3 “Education, Training and Employment” (eight sessions); Module 4 “Meaningful Leisure” (four sessions); Module 5 “Relationships with Friends and Effective Communication” (seven sessions); Module 6 “Preservation and Strengthening of Health” (seven sessions); Module 7 “Personal Qualities and Safe Behavior” (six sessions); Module 8 “Goals and Life Plans” (six sessions). The form of technology implementation is training and training-based sessions. The methods of technology implementation include conversation, informational briefings, viewing and discussing video materials, discussion, exercise-based methods, group work, case study method, creative tasks, and game-based activities. The duration of technology implementation implies the delivery of fifty-one training sessions for juvenile offenders, adolescents and youth, each lasting 90 minutes, conducted once or twice a week. The article also identifies the conditions for effective implementation of the social education technology “Preparation for Release” for juvenile offenders, adolescents and youth
