SOCIAL WORK WITH WORKERS OF SEX BUSINESS IN UKRAINE

Social work includes street work, and the category to work with is sex workers. Sex workers in Ukraine have many different problems and accept help, as presented in this study, only from social workers. This article presents the problems and needs of prostitutes, identifies types of violence against this category of people, and possible ways to help from violence of clients and getting out of prostitution. This study involved focus groups with sex workers, interviews with social workers, and in-depth interviews with prostitutes. The article analyzes the experience of foreign governmental and nongovernmental organizations in working with sex workers and provides recommendations for the work of social workers in Ukraine with women working in prostitution.
