CERTAIN PROBLEM ASPECTS OF TEACHING PATHOPHYSIOLOGY AT THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE BASED ON THE CREDIT-MODULAR SYSTEM OF EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION

Abstract

The Bologna process is a process that unites the educational systems of various European countries into uniform criteria and standards. The main goal is to consolidate the efforts of the educational and scientific community and increase the prestige and competitiveness of European education in the world. It is difficult to formulate an unequivocal attitude to the implementation of the Bologna process in Ukraine because it is hard to find a "golden mean" between two opposing points of view, but the entry of our state into this process is an undeniable fact, and therefore one of our main tasks is the adaptation of the educational system and students to new requirements. It is necessary to determine with which internal transformations we will enter the Bologna process, what we need to reject, and what we need to accept into our national education system from European standards. The training of highly qualified specialists by medical universities in Ukraine seems to be an urgent national problem. Undoubtedly, the knowledge and skills acquired at a higher educational institution are only the foundation on which everyone will independently build a temple of individual professional qualities, that will be upgraded throughout the life under the conditions of constant updating of knowledge and its transformation into skills and abilities. The article describes the peculiarities of teaching pathophysiology to third-year students of the medical faculty of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University in the conditions of the credit-module system. The teachers of the department use standardized evaluation criteria and algorithms for describing the progress of practical work and situational tasks, which ensure the objectivity of evaluation and differentiation of students' knowledge levels. The justification for the use of active learning methods, outlined the advantages of teaching this discipline in the department and problems that need to be solved are presented.
