Abstract

The article studies and summarizes the main trends in the organization of leisure activities for children with special educational needs. Theoretical analysis of scientific approaches to the concept “leisure”, “leisure activity” has been carried out. It has been investigated that the organization of leisure activities has a significant impact on a personality formation in adolescence. The sphere of leisure activity has been analyzed which should be built in such a way that its content and forms of organization were supremely aimed at the disclosure of universal, national values and the formation of personal qualities based on them. The main tasks of leisure activities with adolescents with special educational needs have been highlighted, namely: ensuring the comprehensive development of the child; formation of the social experience of the individual; development, stimulation and realization of its spiritual and creative potential; creation of a system of search, development and support of young talents; involvement in social and cultural values; education of strong-willed qualities, an active life position formation. Forms of permitting activities for adolescents with special educational needs have been revealed. It has been determined that in the organization of leisure activities, a great role is given to the social educator, who, above all, must take into account the psychological characteristics of children with special educational needs. It has been proved that the effectiveness of leisure activities carried out with adolescents with special educational needs is influenced by: the level of infrastructure; accessibility of cultural institutions for children with special educational needs; provision of qualified personnel; study and application of innovative work experience; sufficient amounts of funding for leisure programs, including with the involvement of funds received from fundraising; transport service; a variety of leisure activities and their free choice.
