TRAINING OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS IN SOCIAL WORK FOR THE VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES IN THE TERRITORIAL COMMUNITY

Abstract

The article examines the content of professional training of future social work specialists through the organization of volunteer activities within the territorial community. The modern level of readiness of future social work specialists for practical training was revealed; forms and methods of professional training for volunteer activities of future social workers were analyzed and substantiated. The list of necessary conditions for the formation of students’ system of theoretical knowledge, practical abilities and skills necessary for the effective implementation of oneself as a social worker for practical activities in the conditions of the territorial community is given.The purpose of the article is to identify problems in the course of practical training for professional activity; consideration of the content and features of volunteer activity, in particular, educational practice as a component of the professional training of future social work specialists in the conditions of a higher education institution.The tasks of the research are to identify and generalize the elements of professional training for volunteering, which is an important component of practical training during the acquisition of the educational degree «Bachelor of Social Work».This will allow applicants to better understand themselves, form their values and realize the essence of volunteering. In addition, it is necessary to investigate the peculiarities of volunteering in the context of the territorial community, with an emphasis on professional self-determination.Based on the results of the generalized analysis, it was concluded that volunteer activity as a component of practical training is for a student – a future specialist in social work – a wide field for testing all creative achievements acquired in higher education, and from the second – practical training creates conditions for a deeper understanding of the content and functions of the profession, checks the adequacy of one’s own professional ideas and one’s capabilities, and most importantly – optimizes the process of formation of professional abilities and skills necessary for independent professional activity.In the future, it is necessary to design a number of measures that would help unite teachers and students in cooperation and provide the latter with all the opportunities for professional growth throughout all the years of practical training.
