SOCIO-PEDAGOGICAL SUPPORT FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

Abstract

The article notes such types of disabilities as hearing and speech impairment, visual impairment, impaired intellectual development, musculoskeletal disorders, chronic somatic diseases, psychoneurological diseases. Emphasis is placed on the main periods of parental condition caused by the birth of a child with psychophysical disorders, and socio-pedagogical support of parents as one of the leading factors contributing to the social adaptation of children with psychophysical development. It is implemented in the course of socio-pedagogical activities and includes socio-pedagogical services, social education, social services, social patronage, social protection. It is proved that a whole range of domestic laws and regulations are aimed at supporting children with disabilities and their families, including: The state standard of social services of temporary rest for parents or their substitutes caring for children with disabilities and the upbringing of a child with a disability, at his or her place of residence or stay, in an institution providing social services for the period of absence of the parents, in order to alleviate their physical, psychological and emotional stress; State standard of social rehabilitation of persons with intellectual and mental disorders, which provides for the organization of social services for social rehabilitation of persons with intellectual and mental disorders, monitoring and evaluation of the quality of social services for social rehabilitation, etc. According to the above state standards, services are provided on the basis of a statement and an assessment of the individual needs of a child with a disability. Based on the results of the assessment, an individual plan is drawn up, containing activities that make up the content of the service, resources, deadlines and determined by the service providers.
