SUBJECT NATURAL COMPETENCE IS ONE OF THE MAIN FEATURES OF TEACHER’S PROFESSIONALITY

Abstract

The article considers and substantiates the current problems of teaching natural education in terms of dynamic reform of the modern education system, which clearly outlines the problem of professionalism of primary school teachers. The purpose of the work was to reveal the essence of the readiness of future teachers of primary education to form in young students subject science competence, to characterize the practical state of this phenomenon; to study the compliance of future teacher training to the requirements of the State Standard of Primary Education, because the training of future professionals should now be aimed at the ability to manage the educational process, the introduction of new interactive technologies in the teaching of primary school children integrated education course “I explore world”. The problem of formation of natural science competence of students – future primary school teachers is characterized and revealed. The compliance of future teacher training in accordance with the requirements of the new State Standard of Primary General Education (from July 24, 2019 № 688) is investigated. The content of natural science competencies is determined by the results of theoretical analysis of researches of scientists-methodologists of both the past and the present. Particular attention is paid to the effective and targeted focus of primary education. The priority approach to natural education is competence and its indisputable advantage over the traditional approach and innovative approaches. Subject science competence we considered from the standpoint of an integrative approach and substantiated the methodological conditions for the formation of subject competence of primary school students through the systematic acquisition of certain subject competencies in the lessons of the integrated course “I explore the world”.
